Bulimia nervosa is an uncontrolled eating disorder that has been defined in recent years. It is manifested by abnormal eating habits, and the person then uses different means such as vomiting or laxatives (cleansing) to prevent weight gain. They starve or exercise excessively. It is more common in families with high socio-economic status and in young women between the ages of 18 and 24. Fear of obesity, frequent dieting, body image presented in the media and young girls’ envy of them are among the reasons. Bulimic people spend a lot of time in front of the mirror. Even if they are of normal weight, they think that they are fat because there is a disorder in their body image.

Bulimia nervosa, which is one of the psychiatric diseases, shows an increasing trend today. This condition, which affects a large part of people’s lives, can sometimes result in death. Therefore, it is necessary to seek support without wasting time.
