Dr. Within the scope of the Hungary-Turkey bilateral cooperation project by Nalbantsoy and his team, a domestic and national adjuvant will be developed for use in chicken coronavirus (IBV) vaccines in the project titled “Development of New Vaccine Adjuvant Formulation Against IBV for the Poultry Industry”.

Giving information about the project, Prof. Dr. Nalbantsoy said, “Within the scope of the project, we aimed to develop domestic and national adjuvants for use in chicken coronavirus (IBV) vaccines. For this purpose, pilot applications of vaccine formulas prepared with emulsion-type vaccine adjuvants developed jointly with Coral Biotechnology, one of the Petroyağ group companies, are carried out in laying hens at Ege University, Faculty of Agriculture facilities. The production of vaccine viruses is carried out by Assoc. Dr. It was completed with Fethiye Çöven. Field studies, namely the application of the formulas developed for a larger number of poultry, will be continued in Hungary”.

Dr. Nalbantsoy said, “According to the results obtained, it has been determined that the effectiveness of the developed emulsion adjuvants is more effective than the commercial emulsions available in the market, and we think that our ongoing projects in academic cooperation with Coral Biotechnology, one of the Petroyag group companies, which is the first adjuvant company established for animal vaccines in our country, and our university will make significant contributions to this field in our country.” .
