Leaving it to time

In the face of our own pain or the pain of another person, we have used the phrase “time heals everything”. This is a phrase that is used a lot to alleviate the pain we can feel at a given moment. We use this phrase often because we need to have that hope in the worst times. Because we want to believe that we will be better tomorrow. We say it will pass, we say time is medicine, but the truth is that this is a false and dangerous belief. Time doesn’t heal everything. Time alone does not heal anything.

It seems to me that letting time go is like rejecting the existing troubling situation.

We leave it to time for it to be resolved. Does it dissolve when you leave it to time?

You are more trapped inside. You don’t fix or break it.

The subject you left at that time just sits there. You don’t face it, you’re afraid, you run away.

You say it will be done in time. Does it settle over time?

Do not rely on time, because time does not heal everything.

We are responsible for our suffering, which we try to leave ourselves to time.

We believe in the healing power of time so much that our first reaction to the pain experienced by someone is “Time will heal”. If we rely on time, we become passive beings willing to put our lives in the hands of the whims of an uncertain destiny. We must understand that time does not heal everything.

All the pain that we do not manage properly is stored in us permanently, far from disappearing. Once inside, it will silently increase until the damage is too large to deal with.

Time doesn’t heal everything. Time only eases our pain, but it never goes away completely. What heals is not the passage of time, but the conscious study of emotions and painful experiences. When we can look closely at our own story, we heal ourselves and give ourselves the opportunity to look back and heal all these open wounds.

Time can help us in our healing process, but only you have the capacity and courage to dedicate ourselves to our well-being, to heal old wounds and close them forever.

It is necessary to be involved in our healing and be responsible for ourselves. Only in this way can we lead to living with greater awareness and fullness.

What Nazım Hikmet Ran said, “The important thing is not to let go of time, but to stop in time.”

If you can hold on to one side of your pain, if you can heal it, time will help you best.
