Social phobia, or social anxiety disorder, can be briefly called as the state of feeling restless and nervous in a crowded environment. Individuals who experience this situation are worried that they will be judged in social environments and that they will act in a wrong way.

The person experiencing social anxiety feels anger, tension and fear when he/she enters social environments. He may prefer to remain silent in a group conversation, and feeling uneasy while performing an action in public causes some physical reactions. These;

  • Taking the floor in the group and expressing their opinion

Certain experiences and thoughts that visit the mind quickly (Negative Automatic Thoughts) increase anxiety. The person always thinks that he will be humiliated, disgraced, or commit a wrong or incomplete action.
