Who is the most famous neurosurgeon?

If neurosurgeons are talking about you abroad, then you are the most famous neurosurgeon. Recently, the importance of the concept of “citation” has been realized in the Turkish scientific community. It is not enough to make some researches, surgeries or discoveries and publish them in some international journals. A citation counts when another researcher mentions your findings in their own article. The ratio of the number of citations you receive to the number of your own research is called the “H factor”. To be able to say that a surgeon is a respected name in the international community and the most famous neurosurgery teacher, this H factor must be well above 10. Now that I have left this dam behind, I feel comfortable. You may have written a number of books. However, there is also the issue of “citation in the textbook”, which is even more important. In other words, if your findings are mentioned even in textbooks abroad, this is much more valuable. How lucky I am to experience this happiness during my assistant years. More than 30 years ago, the results of my research were mentioned in international textbooks. Now this number has reached 40 books.
