by clinic

Those who have difficulty in losing weight and lose insufficient weight despite diet and exercise should be investigated in terms of the following hormonal reasons.

1-INSULIN RESISTANCE: Belly fat is one of the most common causes of fatty liver. It causes complaints such as hunger crises, insatiability, weakness, fatigue, and frequent hunger. It can be calculated by measuring insulin and blood sugar levels after 8 hours of fasting.

2-INSUFFICIENT WORK OF THYROID HORMONES: Hashimoto’s disease may develop after thyroid surgery or thyroid inflammation. Insufficient secretion of thyroid hormones can cause water retention, edema, weight gain, muscle pain, menstrual irregularity and constipation. The diagnosis can be made by looking at the hormone levels in the blood. The treatment can be done by taking thyroid hormone extract from the outside for life.

3-Overworking Kidney Glands: Excessive cortisol secretion from the adrenal gland is also known as Cushing’s syndrome. Excess cortisol secretion can cause weight gain, insulin resistance, diabetes, high blood pressure, menstrual irregularity, increased hair growth and a face on the moon.

4-POLYCYSTIC OVER SYNDROME: It can be seen in 7% of young women. It shows symptoms such as menstrual irregularity, increased hair growth, acne on the face that do not go away despite treatment, and weight gain. It can be diagnosed by the presence of multiple cysts in the ovarian ultrasound and disorders in hormone tests. If left untreated, it can cause osteoporosis, weight gain, infertility and increase the risk of uterine cancer.

DECREASE OF 5-GENDER HORMONES: Testosterone in men can be diagnosed with a decrease in estrogen hormone levels in women. In men, low testosterone can cause loss of muscle strength, lack of erection, increased lubrication and infertility. Decreased estrogen in women mostly occurs with the cessation of menstruation in menopause. It manifests itself with hot flashes, stress, palpitations, weight gain.

6-PROLACTIN HORMONE EXCESS: It is a hormone secreted from the pituitary gland. In women, it is manifested by milk coming from the breast, menstrual irregularity, and increased hair growth, while in men it is more often manifested by inability to get an erection and loss of vision. It may require medication and in some special cases surgical treatment.

7-D VITAMIN DEFICIENCY: Unfortunately, its deficiency is very high. Insufficient exposure to sunlight increases the frequency of working in the office environment. It usually does not show any symptoms. It can cause muscle and bone pain, weakness, frequent infections due to immune system weakness, and osteoporosis. Its deficiency can increase insulin resistance and the risk of diabetes.
