28 years old, one of the young female pilots of Turkey, Sezen Sarı stated that she has flown for 2,000 hours after working in the sky for 4 years. Born in Adana, Sezen Sarı talked about becoming a pilot: “I am the only child of a civil servant family. I was thinking of studying at the Conservatory. But My dream of being a pilot started when I was 15 years old. I had the opportunity to chat with the captains on the plane and the captain asked what I wanted to be in the future. When I said I wasn’t sure now, he said, “I have a daughter your age too and she wants to be a pilot. Continuing to give information about piloting, Sezen Sarı explained what kind of training the pilots went through. “Thanks to my mother’s support, I was accepted to the Turkish Aeronautical Association University Pilotage Department, which was my first choice at the university. In 2015, I got my first license from Ankara Turkish Aeronautical Association Flight Academy, which is PPL (private pilot license). I was in the group that was sent to California, USA to complete my flights.After returning from the USA, I completed our ATPL courses at the university and went to İzmir-Selçuk Turkish Aeronautical Association Flight Academy to get my CPL license and in 2018 I went to CPL-IR ME (Commercial Pilot License – Instrument Flight and Twin Engine). ) and I have been working as a co-pilot at SunExpress Airlines for 4 years.”
