The abdominal region is at the very center of our body, in the middle. Close to the back, groin, hips, breasts, waist and hips, attached. It also covers our internal organs and many important structures with a wall at the bottom. You may have had such a solution in mind for possible deformities in your body after children. Or you have gained and lost excess weight, male or female, your stomach has sagged, loosened. Or, your abdominal region may be deformed as a result of your lifestyle, alcohol use, some medications (birth control pills, prostate blocking drugs, anti-inflammatories, anti-depressants, allergy medications, etc.) or as a result of some surgeries you have had on the internal organs of the abdomen or due to genetic reasons. First of all, your current problems should be defined and appropriate solutions should be developed. Similarly, problems related to regions other than your abdomen can directly or indirectly affect the general appearance of the body. Therefore, all these side problems should be discussed when talking to your plastic surgeon if necessary. If breast size, smallness or sagging is a problem, it can be removed with additional intervention in addition to abdominaplasty operation. Hip, hip, groin, waist and back fat can be removed with liposuction in the same session, provided that it is measured. Adding these interventions is partly related to your doctor’s technique and choices. Some may act more aggressively and increase the number of attempts in multiple surgeries. Others do not like to make additional interventions to abdominoplasty operation and may find it risky. It is our preference to plan these attempts to correct body contours and to act in moderation. Your general condition and body structure will determine what to do. Similarly, sometimes internal organ problems (uterus, ovarian surgeries) can turn into a natural part of your tummy tuck operation. Or, eliminating the aesthetic problems of the genital area in the same session is a lot of interventions that can be done. The important thing will be your request, the condition of your body, your general condition, possible existing problems, your doctor’s evaluation, choices and style.
