About fibromyalgia

by clinic

Fibromyalgia is defined as rheumatism of the soft tissue, which is characterized by widespread and persistent muscle pain, and complaints such as stiffness and fatigue in the body, especially in the morning. Many doctors in different branches are consulted with complaints of chronic headache, depression, anxiety, jaw joint disorders, restless legs syndrome, constipation, insomnia, fatigue and lack of energy.

In patients who apply with these complaints, other diseases that may be confused with blood tests and imaging methods are reviewed.

In treatment: Pain, Physiotherapy, Psychiatry, Rheumatology specialists should act together. Interventional methods and special drug combinations including “antidepressants” are used to loosen “painful muscle points” called fibrosis. One-session treatments can be applied with Radiofrequency techniques, one of the latest methods. Pain-free periods can last from 6 months to 2 years.
