2-6 years

Try to explain the information to be taught with visuals or activities.

-Since attention span is short, do short activities of 10-15 minutes or interesting conversations of 1-2 minutes.

Children in this age group are aware of their own and others’ emotions. So share your own feelings as well.

7-12 years

During this period, their self-confidence, independence and differences begin to develop. Therefore, while chatting, emphasize that you respect their opinions as well.

-Describe events with child-centered stories and characters. Get them to understand with empathy.

-Abstract thinking skills about events begin to develop. Now he can easily think about events that he does not see as concrete. Now you can talk to him more easily about abstract concepts. Show their opinion that you care.

They begin to become more aware of taking responsibility for their own actions. Therefore, they may feel guilty. Remind us that there may be factors beyond our control about the causes and consequences of what happened.

13-18 years

This age group often takes irrational risks. They also resist adult responsibility. You should communicate in a friendly, understanding and authoritative manner.

They may often experience mood swings, outbursts, or emotional outbursts. Therefore, you should approach it with patience.

– Emphasize that you respect his personality in sentences, and convey that you are happy to share his ideas with you.

– Tell him that you are always open to communication when he wants to talk.

-Speak with respect, not pressure; Avoid condescending words and accusatory statements.
