Gaziemir Municipality treated and checked the dog whose owners lost their lives in the earthquake and was brought to Izmir from Hatay by the Kindness Followers Platform and brought to a new home.
The earthquake, which caused great destruction in 10 cities of Turkey, turned the lives of animals as well as people upside down. While many animals lost their lives due to the earthquake, many of them were left unattended. One of them is the dog that had been waiting for days in the wreckage of the house where its owners lived in Hatay, and was brought to Izmir after it was understood that the family had died. The dog, which made people’s hearts ache with its video taken while searching for its owners in the wreckage, was taken under protection by the Kindness Followers Platform and brought to Izmir. The dog, who was adopted here and brought to a new home, was named Vefa. Vefa’s treatment and vaccinations were done by the veterinarians of Gaziemir Municipality. The veterinarians of the municipality, who examined the dog, took care of the wound in Vefa’s ear. Physicians gave the dog a vaccine to protect it from epidemic diseases and vitamin supplements to strengthen its body. Veterinarians will regularly vaccinate and control Vefa.
