The destruction of the cartilage structure in the hip joint is called hip calcification. Despite other treatments, patients between the ages of 60 and 80 whose vital activities are severely restricted and whose painless walking distances are reduced constitute the ideal patient group for surgical treatment. In cases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteonecrosis of the hip joint, prosthetic surgeries can also be performed on younger patients. In surgical treatment, the damaged joint is removed and an artificial painless and functional hip joint is created by using metal, ceramic, polyethylene (a highly resistant plastic derivative) parts.
