How can I properly support my child’s development?

by clinic

If we want to support our child’s development properly, we should basically look at three areas. The first area is individual characteristics. It is necessary to look at what my child’s nature is prone to and what he enjoys doing. Since this subject has been discussed a lot, I would like to focus more on the other two areas.

The second area is the messages that the environment gives to the child. We need to look at what kind of messages he receives in the family, school, movies he watches and the games he spends time in. The environment emphasizes the messages to the child that he is behind, that he is ordinary, or that he has his own unique sides waiting to be discovered. Are the heroes he follows the figures he can never reach with superpowers, or does my child grow up with the stories of what ordinary people can change… These messages will change his mental patterns over time. You can think of this process as the deterioration of our child’s eyeglasses and his inability to see the truth more clearly. In the messages that the child receives, he will interpret the difficulties he experiences as insurmountable as he receives the messages that you are weak and unsuccessful.

The third area is the great system that regulates this environment. The great system gives power to whom, what makes it valuable, what makes it worthless, what it offers to individuals as a target to focus on, and what role the rule makers of this system assign to you, it is necessary to focus on this area.

I think that we should raise children with awareness in these three basic areas. If we liken the whole process to the growth of a flower, the individual characteristics of the seed of the flower, its location relative to the pot, soil and other flowers it is in, its location in relation to the surrounding environment, the climate, rain and sun conditions can be compared to the big system. Small but correct guidance in all these three areas can enable our children to become the heroes of their own stories. Best wishes…
