“Potato is good for cancer”, “Tomato protects you against cancer.” or “Carrot triggers lung cancer.” We see this and similar information so much that; After a certain point, the information starts to contradict each other.
While some foods and lifestyles make it easier to catch some diseases, they can also be preventive for some diseases. Therefore, if this information is systematically given to the society, just like raising a medical student, there will be no problem. In this sense, “How to eat in order not to get cancer in general?” would be a more meaningful question. Cancer should not be directed to nutrition by showing the target cancer, and instead, general nutritional rules should be pointed out in order to prevent cancer. Therefore, it is important to warn the society about creating general health awareness.
