It is harmful to wear a corset all the time….!

by clinic

In recent days, we come across the slogans of being fit and slimming with corsets, which have been in the media organs and given as a false message to our people. Such slogans can be interesting for those who have a little weight and do not know the functions of the waist and back muscles, and especially the abdominal muscles. In the first place, the corset event is very attractive because the people’s desire is that the weight loss is in local areas and the abdomen is pleasing to the eye.

The musculature of the waist and abdomen includes a very complex structure. In particular, muscle groups that we can call transverse and parallel to the ground enter the areas where a group of longitudinal muscles travel. The longitudinal muscles, on the other hand, have their own divisions and serve separate functions. Although they work separately, they are the most important support tissue of the spine as a whole. One of the 3 important support tissues of a flexible spine that keeps us standing and allows us to walk comfortably is our MUSCLES. Others are a solid bone structure and joints. From even a football player’s ability to hit the ball and head, to a basketball player’s ability to dribble and shoot, the most serious task is the KOR muscles. We can say that the KOR muscles are the whole of the abdominal muscles in the front, the longitudinal muscles in the back and the transverse muscles.

It should be known that the event we call CORSE is to By-Pass this region from the outside with a complete spiral structure. In other words, thanks to this disabled muscle group, it is obvious that the person’s feeling of being more fit and weakened is a complete mistake. It should be known that the muscles melt VERY QUICKLY when they are inactive. However, it may be too late to realize that the desired weight loss is not FAT Tissue, but one of the muscle groups that are hard to gain and support the entire spine. As Spinal Cord and Neurosurgeons, we consider it appropriate to wear a corset for a maximum of 45 days, even in interventions for the spine of the patients. Since even this can cause problems, we have treatments to continue support with active exercises. Imagine that a person was cast in a cast due to a fracture in his extremity and removed after 1, 1.5 months. The resulting landscape contains complete horror. A normal extremity on one side, while the plaster cast has thinned and dried. CORSET also has the same effect by deactivating the supporting muscle tissues of the spine.
