The earthquake, which was felt in provinces such as Kilis, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Malatya, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman and Hatay, the epicenter of which is the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş, caused almost destruction.
From the first hours of the earthquake, all units of the state became vigilant. On the one hand, while the work was going on, on the other hand, aid rained down on the earthquake area from all sides. One of these aids came from Turkish Kick Boxing Federation Professional Executive Board Member and Octagon Turkey President Serdar Gökkaya. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and Gökkaya, a medical team of 45 doctors and nurses was brought to Turkey to heal the wounds of the earthquake victims.

Octagon Turkey President Serdar Gökkaya said, “It is a very painful feeling. We are ready to show our support for Turkey to get through these days. We are here and we will heal the wounds together. We were always in the disaster area to ensure coordination and necessary communication in the earthquake area. Together, we pioneered the arrival of a 45-person medical team from the Netherlands for support. All necessary equipment has been brought.
In this process, the public and institutions, especially the Ministry of Interior, did not spare their support. At the same time, the treatment of injured people; Thanks to Kahramanmaraş Sports Club and Ülkü Ocakları, it was held at Yörük Selim Hospital and 12 February Stadium. They were with us throughout the entire process, from the accommodation of the incoming team to the organization. Dutch physicians worked in a very organized way, which was very important. Earthquake survivors were also very pleased with the support of doctors from the Netherlands to Turkey. We will continue to give all our support to minimize the wounds in the disaster of the century.”
