Next to the farmer with the Nilüfer Municipality Mineral Analysis Laboratory

by clinic

Nilüfer Municipality has established a Mineral Analysis Laboratory in order to use agricultural lands more efficiently and to enable the farmer to get products at full capacity. In the laboratory to be operated by NILKOOP; Investigations that will affect the yield such as the amount of nutrients in the agricultural lands, the power to provide nutrients to the plants, the amount and type of fertilizer to be applied, and feeding disorders in the soil will be carried out.

Nilüfer Municipality, which has been implementing important projects that will raise awareness about agriculture for years in order to increase agricultural production and encourage farmers to conscious production, has added another important ring to these studies with the Mineral Analysis Laboratory.
Nilüfer Municipality has implemented the Mineral Analysis Laboratory it has created in Bursa Ulutek Technopark. The operation of the laboratory was transferred to the SS Nilüfer Agricultural Development Cooperative with the protocol ceremony held at the Nilüfer Municipality Public House for the purpose of joint service. The protocol, which will be valid for 10 years, was signed by Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem, Nilüfer Chamber of Agriculture President Şenol Aybey, NİLKOOP President Mehmet Ali Yumurtacı, NİLKOOP Vice President Arca Atay and NİLKOOP Board Member Emre Karagöz.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem stated that they have been doing important work for years to reach healthy food with the right agricultural techniques and said, “We have taken the first step of a new project for farmers.” President Turgay Erdem, who stated that they carried out soil analyzes in agricultural areas in Nilüfer in cooperation with Bursa Uludağ University, stated that they have now purchased a new laboratory for soil, water and plant analysis. President Erdem said, “Our aim is to reduce the input costs of our farmers and to enable them to obtain high yields and incomes”. President Turgay Erdem said, “With this laboratory, we want to support our farmers to achieve high efficiency in their production. Fertilizer is one of the biggest inputs in their production. As a result of the analyzes to be made by the experts, our farmers will have learned which soil needs which fertilizer and how much, and the quality of the irrigation water they use. Thus, input costs will decrease.

Şenol Aybey, President of Nilüfer Chamber of Agriculture, said, “Protecting the soil starts with protecting the farmer” and also touched upon the importance of the analyzes to be made. Stating that soil, water and plant analyzes will help the farmer to reduce input costs, Aybey said, “If you help the farmer with their input, the farmer knows how to protect his own soil. I would like to thank Nilüfer Municipality for making such a project. These analyzes will be very effective in terms of yielding our farmers. There have been exorbitant price increases in fertilizers in recent years. This reduced our farmer’s income. Our farmers can reduce their input costs by getting their analysis done.” Saying that farmers should be encouraged to have analysis, Aybey said, “If we cannot convince the farmer, we will be empty-handed. As the Chamber of Agriculture, we are ready to provide support in all matters related to agriculture.”

In the Mineral Analysis Laboratory to be operated by NİLKOOP in cooperation with Nilüfer Chamber of Agriculture; As a result of the agricultural activities in the lotus, good or bad changes in plant nutrients and organic soil quality will be determined. In addition, with this study, in order to maintain soil fertility, first of all, it will be possible to define the characteristics of agricultural areas in the best way, to analyze the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soils, and to create a product pattern with a high market value according to the soil structure.

With this project, it is also aimed to prevent the unconscious use of fertilizers, to prevent waste of resources, and to prevent nature and soil pollution. In the laboratory, whose devices, tools and equipment have been completed, the determination of drainage problems in the field and solution suggestions will also be presented.
