The B rays of the ultraviolet rays from the sun form the cholesterol and vitamin D precursor in our skin. Then, this precursor vitamin D goes to our liver and again to the kidney by blood circulation and turns into the main active vitamin D. Thanks to the sun, if our skin comes into direct contact with the sun, the body creates the necessary vitamin D by itself. In order for this to work perfectly, our shoulders are under the open sun for 20-30 minutes. Our walking meets our daily vitamin D needs.

In the light of this information, what does vitamin D do?

First of all, it protects our adults against osteoporosis. In addition, since the last few years, studies have been listed one after the other that this vitamin is protective against our autoimmune diseases ‘hypertension’ and some allergic diseases.
