by clinic

According to our 2015 data, 97 thousand men and 62 thousand women, and a total of 159 thousand people in total, are diagnosed with cancer every year in our country.

The most common breast cancer in women in our country, it continues to be one of every 4 women’s cancers. The most common cancers after breast cancer are; cancers of the thyroid, large intestine, uterus, lung, stomach, ovary, lymphoma, brain and cervix.

Some environmental and genetic factors increase your chances of getting cancer. We call these cancer risk factors. If you know the cancer risk factors, you can be protected from this disease or have a chance to be diagnosed at a very early stage. You can reduce your cancer risk in many ways:

-Do not smoke, and avoid secondhand smoke. It is now known that smoking is the main factor in many types of cancer, especially lung cancer.

– Get regular screening for breast, cervix (cervix), and colon cancers at the recommended frequency. Screening methods are the best ways to detect cancers at an early stage because cancer is much easier to treat at an early stage.

-Protect your skin from the sun and solarium. Skin cancers are common, and most skin cancers are caused by exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

-Exercise and maintain a healthy weight. Adopting a healthy diet and regular physical activity as a lifestyle will reduce your risk for many cancers.

-You can be protected from HPV-related cancers (cervical, head and neck cancers) with the HPV vaccine. With the HPV vaccine applied in the 9-26 age range, you can be protected from cervical cancer to a large extent.
