Cleaning the nasal and nasal secretions by rinsing the nose and nasal passages with salt water, especially the mechanical removal of the sticky mucus on the adenoid by washing is beneficial and reduces nasal congestion in some patients.

With the use of cortisone nasal sprays, a reduction of up to 10% in adenoid size can occur; Even if it is small, this reduction may lead to a decrease in nasal congestion in some patients. But when the nasal spray is stopped, the adenoid continues to grow again.
