WHAT IS DYSLEXIA
Dyslexia; It is difficulty in gaining listening, speaking, reasoning, reading, writing, mathematical abilities and using knowledge.
Since dyslexia is a congenital structural condition, it shows its symptoms from the first years of life.
Talking late, having difficulty in understanding what you hear, low vocabulary, saying the wrong words, not being able to tell the events in the order of events are some of the symptoms that can be noticed at an early age.
SYMPTOMS OF DYSLEXIA IN PRESCHOOL PERIOD
They mispronounce words such as “pokratal, festal” at a young age
They cannot remember simple words used in daily life. For example, they answer the question “What do we drink water with” by saying “A pitcher instead of a glass”
They cannot remember the names of their friends
They walk on tiptoe
They cannot go up and down stairs by changing their feet
They may be insufficient in fine motor skills. For example, they may be less successful in buttoning, cutting with scissors, limited painting, drawing skills
They may be insufficient in gross motor skills. For example, they are less successful in skills such as riding a two-wheeled bicycle, rhythmically moving, and clapping their hands
Although they have reached the age of 5, their hand preferences may not be formed yet
Difficulty in learning the basic concepts that need to be learned in the pre-school period they live. They have difficulties in learning opposite concepts, time concepts, numbers, sequencing numbers, place and direction concepts and using them in daily life
Because they have attention and memory problems, they need support in the skills of memorizing poetry, memorizing addresses, remembering and fulfilling the instructions given to them. .
They cannot continue activities that require attention very much, they get bored quickly and prefer to play by themselves. For this reason, it can often be confused with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder.
Dyslexic children appear smart, speak and behave wisely beyond their age; however, they are children who have difficulty in fulfilling the academic skills expected of their age.
SYMPTOMS OF DYSLEXIA DURING SCHOOL PERIOD

Instead of solving problems using four operations, they solve problems in different ways using the methods they have developed, but they solve it incorrectly
