What should be the anesthesia method in circumcision?

Circumcision, as we know, is unfortunately the nightmare of all children and more importantly, families. Today, this fearful dream can become comfortable if the family can be persuaded for anesthesia. Of course, local anesthesia is performed in circumcision and the pain can be prevented, but our children continue to cry because of fear. Unfortunately, we torture our children because the family cannot be persuaded about anesthesia. As an anesthesiologist, I think that general anesthesia should be absolutely necessary for our children. Because our children cry not from pain, but from touching and fear. None of us can tell these children that there will be no pain with local anesthesia. So, is general anesthesia inconvenient? If we ask our friends, neighbors and friends, yestt… If you ask me, it is a very safe and must-have method. The decision is made without seeing the difference, and general anesthesia is unfortunately shown as a bogeyman.
