In addition to the condition of the baby, mothers who are addicted to substance and alcohol, babies who encounter conditions such as cerebral hemorrhage and infection are included in the risk group.

CEREBRAL PALSY TREATMENT METHODS

There are many options for the treatment of cerebral palsy. First of all, rehabilitation and drug treatment are applied to the sick child. In this process, the patient is given training and support to meet his physical needs. Although these methods work temporarily, surgical intervention is often used. This intervention can be both orthopedic and neurosurgical. With these treatment methods, the problem is eliminated.

CEREBRAL PALSY AND BRAIN SURGERY

Cerebral palsy may occur as a result of premature birth, post-traumatic, lack of oxygen to the brain, cerebral hemorrhage. Surgical treatment gives satisfactory results if there are some abnormalities such as stenosis and bending of the brain vessels and in an area that can be easily accessed surgically. Apart from this, there are also surgical methods such as baclofen pump placement for spasticity, dorsal rhizotomies or neurectomies. In addition, transcranial (brain) electrical stimulation therapy can be applied.
