I’m drowning in my thoughts

by clinic

Thoughts sometimes come and never go again. They disturb us so much that neither sleep is left nor the value of the things we experience during the day. We find ourselves lost in thoughts and we go left and right in this labyrinth, we cannot find the way out.

If you think this way too, welcome aboard 🙂

What to do when thoughts surround us, how to get rid of them, etc. If you are asking these questions, this article is for you.

First of all, I would like to start with this wonderful quote from Osho: ‘Clouds come and go. The sky remains.’

To proceed from Osho’s words, our thoughts are like clouds in the sky. revenues; They disturb us for a while, they make us sleepless, we know what we eat and what we drink… The good thing is, they go back again just like clouds. Let’s take a look from another window now. Whether we watch the clouds in the sky or not, they move, move and go. The same goes for our thoughts; Whether we question our thoughts or not, whether we judge or not, they go away after a while. The first thing we will do is to be aware of it. In other words, just watching the thought that comes to our mind without judging or questioning it. Clouds too, right? When we just watch them go, it progresses normally, but if we make the cloud look like something, that cloud will remain with us. How very similar to thoughts.

Let’s continue with Osho’s word. What was he saying; ‘Clouds come and go. The sky remains.’ Now let’s focus on the sky side. The sky is all we are. So you are a sky. Watch the sky rather than the cloud, dive into the sky, pay attention to the sky. So you know yourself, you realize yourself. Count your positive personality traits one by one, you can ask the people around you for help. People in the past are your primary school teacher, high school teachers, childhood friends, neighbors, etc. What would they say as positive traits for you? It may not come to mind at first. Just sit back, remember who these people were first, where were you and what did they say? Take note of them. So what do you say about yourself?

Besides all these, if you are not doing the breathing exercise, start the breathing exercise. However, you can start ‘Mindfulness’.

I have one more suggestion. It is also to get professional support. You can get psychotherapy services by making an appointment with a mental health professional.
