It occurs in approximately 15% of children over the age of 5 years.
Urinary incontinence may occur only at night or both at night and during the day.
Enuresis nocturna causes social and emotional trauma in children and their families. In these children, their self-confidence decreases due to being disliked by their families and teasing between siblings.
Causes:
Familial predisposition is the leading cause of enuresis nocturna (night urination).
