Children starting primary school may experience school-related problems with starting school. These;
difficulty in following the rules at school
not wanting to go to school
not wanting to be separated from mother
carelessness
mobility
lesson Problems such as not being able to sit on one’s own
not learning
exam anxiety
lack of self-confidence
shyness
fears
may occur. In the presence of these problems, conflicts may occur between the child, family and school. Children’s learning skills, academic success, self-confidence, family and friend relationships may be adversely affected. If timely intervention is not made and correct solutions are not sought, problems may continue or additional problems may be added. Parents should be aware of these problems and should seek support from child psychiatrists in understanding their causes and solving the problem.
