
After the earthquake that took place in 11 provinces on 6 February, the “Psychological First Aid Workshop for Field Workers” was held to strengthen the Bodrum Municipality personnel in the communication and field studies to be established with the earthquake victims.
Under the coordination of Bodrum Municipality Gender Equality Bureau, Psychological Counselor Ada Ü. The Field Solution Team, Solution Desk personnel and Public Relations and Administrative Affairs personnel of the Press and Public Relations Directorate attended the workshops organized by Köse.
Municipal staff work hard to help earthquake victims, who are placed in hotels and houses in Bodrum, after the earthquake, to overcome the traumas caused by the earthquake. In the workshops held within this scope, detailed information was shared on psychological empowerment and support in order to contribute to the methods that focus on the trauma-sensitive service production of the personnel who will work in the field and to ensure that the service process can be carried out in the long term.
In the workshops, which took place in a friendly environment, experiences were shared, while information was shared on what to do for the long-term execution of the process, methods for the psychological empowerment of victims, and techniques for producing trauma-sensitive services in difficult life experiences.
Bodrum Municipality continues to perform every service it has produced since 2019 within the perspective of Gender Equality. The municipality will continue to produce its services to fight against all kinds of discrimination, within the framework of sustainable policies, with a determined attitude, with the workshops it has started, including the traumas caused by the inequalities and violations of rights caused by the earthquake disaster on 6 February.
