• Chronic fatigue syndrome is a disease that affects the brain and many organs and functions in the body. It is the state of being so tired that you cannot do your daily activities and complete your work. I’m not talking about the tiredness after a tired work schedule or the fatigue after a physical activity. In chronic fatigue syndrome, you can still feel tired even if you lie down for days and weeks, and unfortunately it is a syndrome with an increasing frequency, and many symptoms can be seen in this syndrome along with fatigue. Chronic fatigue syndrome is a syndrome that affects many systems in the body, and it has been recorded that more than 20 million people worldwide have this syndrome. It received its first official diagnosis in 1980, and the number of recorded figures since then is over 200 million and is increasing day by day.
• There is not a single factor in this syndrome, in fact, it is a set of causes like all other chronic diseases.
• It usually starts like the flu. You may describe your complaints as having a cold at first. Over time, these complaints gradually increase and become permanent.

• Chronic fatigue syndrome is not an ordinary short-term fatigue state, you must be feeling this way for at least 6 months, but if your tiredness has started to occur every day, it is likely to worsen in this direction, so it is useful to review your lifestyle and complaints by not waiting for 6 months. In general, I recommend that you consult a doctor for fatigue that lasts longer than 3 months.
• Rest and sleep do not help in chronic fatigue syndrome, even if you sleep for hours, you cannot get up rested.
• Physical activities and sports may increase your complaints even more. You may experience a condition called malaise the next day or even after exertion.
• Another name is myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). The medical term for chronic fatigue syndrome is ME/CFS.
• Chronic fatigue syndrome can occur in cycles. There may be good and bad days, but good days are not normally, but better days than bad days.
• It is most common in women between the ages of 40-50, but it is also more common in children and men.
