OBSTACLE TO SUCCESS FAILURE
The century we live in is the age of information and communication, and moreover, an environment of intense competition. In this case, you need to show change and development in your business and social life. Regardless of your field of study, if you do not show new developments, stagnation and regression will manifest themselves over time. In order to survive, we have to be successful in business and social life. For success, our health comes first. If we are physically and mentally healthy as a whole; we can do good things for ourselves, our family, our business life and our social environment and increase our productivity. Competition in the business environment requires staying healthy and vigorous and being motivated. The most important issue that employees in stressful jobs complain about is fatigue. Fatigue prevents success, causes economic loss through labor and time loss. After all; The state of constant fatigue comes to the fore as an important health problem in the social environment and business life.
Fatigue; It is generally a temporary condition that can be defined as a common lack of energy in society. Those of productive age, especially those in the stress-intensive managerial group, are more affected. Being knowledgeable about this situation and taking protective measures is an important element of success. If you feel constant fatigue for more than six months, you should definitely consult a doctor. In this table where your health deteriorates; Along with the deterioration in your social communication with your environment, you incur various losses in your business and private life without realizing it.
20-40% of individuals in society encounter fatigue at some point in their lives. In these, 18% of fatigue turns into a disease and becomes permanent. Fatigue has become a chronic (ongoing) disease if it is unexplained for medical reasons and persists for at least 6 months. This picture is commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and is now known as Chronic Neuroendocrine Immune Dysfunction.
Fatigue; it is no longer a temporary lack of energy. It is a disease that limits the individual, social, occupational and mental functions of the person and is determined by constant fatigue. to fatigue; Immunological (allergic), rheumatic (joint, waist, back, muscle pains), and neuropsychiatric (sleep disorder, difficulty concentrating, learning-memory defects, outbursts of anger) complaints are also accompanied. Since CFS affects many systems, it causes many symptoms and complaints that we can see in other diseases. Therefore, it is very difficult to diagnose and treat patients. Although the cause of the disease has not been revealed, it has been suggested that the main problem is the weakening of the immune system, and it is thought that viral infections, nutritional deficiencies and chemical substances may cause this. However, this idea has not been sufficiently proven. Another approach in which positive findings are more prominent is; hormonal dysfunction. There is a disturbance in hormonal secretion or cell response. In patients with CFS; hormonal changes were also determined as laboratory values.
Ongoing, stressful, harmful, stimuli (spiritual, physical, chemical, magnetic, electrical) or trauma; May cause hormonal dysfunction. In case of insufficient hormonal activity, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain diseases and allergic complaints may occur. People with this condition may be misdiagnosed as myalgia, fibromyalgia, lumbalgia, myofascial syndrome, chronic pain syndrome, allergy, depression and anxiety. In cases where the treatment is delayed, cardiovascular diseases, sleep disorders, sexual dysfunctions, spastic colon (ongoing constipation, bloating) syndrome are facilitated. In such diseases, resistance to treatment indicates CFS.
CFS was initially (1893) defined as a neuro-psychiatric condition called “Neurasthenia”. Psychological treatment has been suggested, as it is thought to be of spiritual origin in Western medicine. In the east, it was thought that the disease was mostly of physical origin, and rest and physical therapy methods were applied.
At this point, the best way to deal with CFS is to prevent it. Protection methods; pleasant life, daily exercise, natural nutrition, purification and protection from harmful substances are vital regulations.
Regular Pleasure Life;
First of all, a planned life is required. We need to work for certain periods, spare time for food (especially breakfast) and rest. Regular sleep time, daily, weekly and annual rest times must be planned. It is seen that the productivity of those who do not spare time for their private life, entertainment and rest decreases in a short time.
Daily Exercise;
It is very important to do at least 20 minutes of daily exercise for the balance of life rhythm. Non-compulsive, brisk exercises (walking, gymnastics, swimming, cycling) make it easier to adjust the body rhythm. Exercises after the working day contribute to rest. Performing exercises in a natural environment, apart from harmful magnetic and electrical fields, provides more benefits.
Exercise
In order to be healthy, it is necessary to prefer a natural diet with high nutritional value, not calories. Refined, industrial foods with additives should be avoided as much as possible. Yogurt is a food that is recommended to be consumed frequently in terms of its contribution to intestinal flora. In addition, it is necessary to be protected from cigarettes, exhaust gas, gas forms of heavy metals and similar harmful substances.
Today, especially uncontrolled use of vitamins has increased to cope with fatigue. Some vitamins can be stored in the body. In this case, taking the vitamin continuously and in excess can do more harm than good. If you cannot get enough vitamins from food, it is beneficial to take them in the form of medicine after being evaluated by a physician.
Nutrition
Protection from harmful environment;
Factors that may cause hormonal dysfunction (mental, physical, chemical, magnetic, electrical, stress stimuli or traumatic) should be determined. These should be avoided or measures should be taken. Changing physical factors, protection from chemical factors, use of electric and magnetic field inhibitors are the applications that can be done.
Psychological protection;
It will be beneficial to create a positive mindset with psychoanalytic approaches and to use ways to combat stress in the workplace. Optimistic thinking and perspective building should be used like a magic medicine to energize and relieve fatigue.
Drug and Interventional Therapies;
After a detailed history, examination and laboratory examination, treatments are given for the determined cause. Necessary treatments should be planned for disorders detected in blood tests.
The most effective complementary therapies to be added; nutrition and intestinal flora regulation, exercise, cognitive behavioral approach and interventional treatments such as neural therapy and ozonotherapy. In cases where the complaints are evident, interventional treatments are applied for rapid treatment and self-regulation of the hormone glands. Interventions to the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal and genital hormone glands with the neural therapy method will facilitate the restoration of hormonal balance. Again, if there is deterioration of intestinal flora or sensitivity to certain foods, regulating them accelerates the treatment. Neural therapy should be used to regulate previous trauma and surgical areas that may create disruptive fields. Continuity of treatment should be established with the use of preventive methods. It would be too optimistic to expect permanent treatment with vitamin and mineral supplements or antidepressant drugs.
Neural therapy
Holistic Approach
Other Complementary therapies;
If magnetic and electrical effects have caused CFS, bioresonance magnetic field treatments should be added. Ozone therapy is one of the temporary complementary treatments that can be applied in acute periods and early periods when rapid relief is needed.
As a result; The diagnosis and treatment of CFS includes difficulties. It is not possible to talk about a single effective method. In treatment, holistic approaches to the cause should be used, and permanence should be ensured with preventive methods. Applying only to drug treatments that will reduce the complaints and expecting benefits from vitamin-mineral-antidepressant-painkiller combinations will form the basis for the progression of the disease.
The diagnosis and treatment of CFS is difficult but not impossible. We are physicians; Recognizing the KYS is not just to ignore the symptoms by saying it’s psychological, but to apply prevention methods and complementary treatments or to direct them to specialists and centers that implement them.
In our Pain Center, the patient is handled holistically and all preventive and interventional treatments are applied together.
