Do we really want a radical recovery; Or do we want to get rid of the emotions we feel at that moment and continue our lives in the same way, with the same behavior from where we left off?
The second thing we want inside is that we are in the trap of the ego. Avoiding a radical healing from the self is an ego’s resistance. Beneath this resistance of our ego are distorted belief patterns. Causes of resistance;
The unknowability of the new can be frightening.
-Discouragement can be difficult to leave the safe space.
-It may seem like wasting the process and effort that the person has spent until he/she is in the situation he/she is in.
Change is hope can still be waiting for the old way to work ego so that nothing is wasted
He/she may be afraid of how the environment will react.
He may find the change out of control.
– Someone accustomed to looking at things with a certain perspective, such as pessimism, may be afraid to see another option.
Remember, too much light can frighten someone who has been in the dark for a long time at first!
Even with a little bit of honesty with oneself, the healing process can be accelerated and completed.
