Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a treatment method that is performed by inserting needles into certain points of the body, applying electrostimulation or laser. It was discovered by the Chinese about 5000 years ago. The Chinese have found that those injured by an arrow gun heal more quickly than those injured by a gunshot. Acupuncture points are located at the junction of the connective tissue. When the acupuncture point is stimulated, sensations such as chills and warmth are due to mechanoreceptor stimulation. Western medicine has a cause-effect relationship, it is analytical. In Chinese medicine, the patient, not the disease, is considered in the foreground. The diagnosis is made by observing mental, emotional and physical findings together. There are two opposing but harmonious energies in the body called ying and yang. Disruption of the balance between yin and yang causes diseases. Regulating the balance between ying and yang is essential in acupuncture. Acupuncture restores the electrically and chemically disturbed balance and enables the body to produce its own medicine.
