The ailment that is popularly known as lice and the term Phimosis is used medically is a condition that we see frequently in Baby Boys and Children.
In the condition defined as louse, the foreskin cannot be peeled off at all due to narrowing at the tip of the foreskin in children, and sometimes it is at such an advanced stage that the child cannot even urinate.
In the newborn period, if irritability does not cause difficulty in urination in the first month, it can be accepted as normal, but its continuation in the following period causes both dirt deposits under the foreskin and so-called ballanitis; cause infection of that area.
Urgent circumcision may be required due to problems that may occur due to sudden edema, bleeding and tears that may occur in that area if the lice are made outside of the opening process before circumcision, that is, if it is forced by trying to open it.
Headache is a condition that should be evaluated by Pediatric Surgeons and the necessary treatment options should be arranged.
