Peroneal Nerve Compression
It occurs when the nerve is crushed under pressure in the area on the outside of the knee. There is a decrease in sensation in the leg or a complete loss of sensation. This condition, called drop foot, also reveals the severity of the disease.
Low Foot Symptoms
The heel does not touch the ground, it is tried to touch the ground with the front of the foot. Balance cannot be achieved in full stepping, the foot is stuck on the ground. It feels like the foot is falling into the void. There may be gait disturbance and foot deformity.
Treatment of Nerve Compression in the Outer Part of the Knee
The treatment method is determined according to the level of nerve compression. There is a possibility that it will improve on its own. In advanced compressions, surgery may be required. Tissues that cause congestion and pressure on the outside of the knee are loosened.
