Nipple collapse

by clinic

Nipple collapse in women can be a major aesthetic and psychological problem. Nipple collapse may develop secondary to congenital (congenital) or previous nipple surgery (eg, subareolar abscess). It can be examined in 3 degrees according to the adhesion under the nipple. The main problem is scar bands and volume loss.

The treatment is surgery. It can be done with local anesthesia. The aim of surgery is to remove the adhesion and to put support under the nipple. The surgery takes between 30-45 minutes. Periareolar incision and dermal graft (support), bilateral medial pedicle dedepithelized triangular flaps, cartilage graft placement under the nipple and subcision-fat injection technique can be used in surgical treatment.

After the surgery, silicone nipple protectors are used for 3 weeks and the nipples are suspended. Suspension is terminated after 3 weeks. With surgical treatment, it is possible to retract the nipples to their normal positions.
