These services are particularly concentrated in professional areas such as education, health, social and human services, and scientific research and development. Since the first day we took office, we have supported all necessary studies to expand the effective service networks, to carry out and encourage strong scientific studies. As the management, we continue and will continue to add new and successful works together with all our efforts.”

“We are among the top three in the field of vaccines”

Reminding that there were unusual days due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Prof. Dr. Budak said, “As we all know, we have all experienced extraordinary days due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which started to affect our country as of March 2020. These days, as a university, we have provided uninterrupted service as the closest health consultant for the health of our patients and relatives, before leaving the way of reason and science. In particular, we took part in the ‘COVID-19 Turkey Platform’ created by TUBITAK during the COVID-19 pandemic and developed the ‘DNA vaccine platform’, which is an advanced biotechnological vaccine approach. In our center, studies to develop a universal vaccine against the influenza virus continue with the support of TÜBİTAK. Vaccine studies at Ege University have been carried out since the 2000s. Our university, which is extremely sensitive and sensitive in such studies, was among the first three in our country in the subject of ‘Vaccine Technologies’ in the ‘Competence Analysis of Universities by Field’ report prepared by TUBITAK. This situation shows us how competent Ege University is in this regard”.

prof. Dr. Budak said, “We will continue to produce and work in order to further the experience of vaccine studies at our university, to develop innovative domestic and national vaccines, and to compete with international institutes technologically.
