Famous rock music musician Arno, known for his muffled singing style and unruly hair, succumbed to cancer at the age of 72.

Belgian rock musician Arnold Hintjens, nicknamed ‘Arno’, passed away at the age of 72. Arno was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2020. “We will all miss him, but he will always be in our hearts, thanks to his music that kept him alive,” the musician’s manager, Filip De Groote, said in a statement.

Arnold Charles Ernest Hintjens (21 May 1949 – 23 April 2022), better known by his stage name Arno, was a Belgian musician born in Ostend. He was the lead singer of TC Matic, one of the best-known Belgian sets of the 1980s. After the relegation broke up in 1986, he continued his solo career.
