Strabismus is an eye disease that can be treated with exercise. In strabismus, dozens of eye functions are impaired. Correction of these allows the correction of strabismus without surgery.
What goes wrong with strabismus?
Aesthetics: Aesthetic appearance deteriorates due to the shift in the eyes. The family considers the event only as an aesthetic disorder. *Orientation: Adaptation to the environment is bad or insufficient. Patient
suffers from it. His eye may be elsewhere while he is looking at you. * Vision: In strabismus, vision deteriorates and the strabismus becomes lazy. In general, the eye number is higher in the gliding eye. Astigmatism increases blindness and strabismus, prolongs the treatment. Single vision with two eyes: (Binocular vision) The squint does not see with one eye. It mostly uses the non-slip eye. This makes the other eye lazy to see.
Fusion: Strabismus is basically a fusion disorder. The fusion of the image from the two eyes in the brain is impaired in strabismus. Fusion of closure of the intact eye to correct amblyopia
worsens it more, increases strabismus. Simultaneous detection: (Simultaneous perception), Images from the right and left eyes are detected simultaneously. In strabismus, this feature of the eye is impaired. Image completion: (Retinal correspondence) Some areas cannot see due to the structure of the eye. When the two eyes look together, they complement each other’s deficiencies and perfect vision is provided. in strabismus
this feature of the eye is impaired.
3D vision: Two eyes looking at different areas also impairs 3D vision. Not seeing in 3D means failing in many professions. Surgeon, driver, pilot, sportsman, waitress,
dentistry, tailoring… After dozens of eye functions that are impaired in strabismus are regulated, 3-dimensional vision exercises are started with exercise. The balance between the external muscles of the eye is disturbed: In strabismus, the balance between the muscles is disturbed. Weak or strong muscles are involved. If dysfunctions deepen, muscle disorders increase and treatment becomes more difficult.
What develops in strabismus?
Diplopia: Double vision develops due to the eyes looking at other areas. This makes the patient very uncomfortable. The baby reacts by falling or playing with his eye. Brain disease floating eye
removes the image by shading it. Suppression: (Shading) The brain erases the image of the deviated eye to remove double vision. This relaxes the patient but gradually causes lazy eye.
It is possible. It is the first application to be made in the treatment of strabismus.
Ampliopia : (Amblyopia) Suppression that is not treated immediately can cause amblyopia. Correction of amblyopia provides significant improvement in strabismus. But “Two-eye open active lazy eye treatment” should be applied, not by closing the healthy eye.
Eccentric fixation: In strabismus, the image falls out of the less visible yellow spot in 25-75% of cases. The patient looks sideways.
The side view that occurs in strabismus is eliminated with exercise. If the eccentric fixation is not corrected, the strabismus will not be corrected either. Even after surgery, strabismus will occur again. Strabismus is an eye disease that improves with exercise. Dozens of eye functions are impaired. Treatment should be rushed before dysfunction turns into muscle disorder.
Correction of impaired eye functions will also correct strabismus. Delaying the treatment in ingrown strabismus causes cross strabismus and high astigmatism, prolonging the treatment. The eye is a sensitive organ. Please don’t touch her with a knife.
Extreme strabismus and oblique (cross) strabismus require surgery. They are also very few in number.
