Treatment of lumbar disc hernia with stem cells

by clinic

Lumbar Disc Degeneration, which is called Initial Lumbar Hernia, is generally seen at a rate of 40% under 30 years of age and 90% over 50 years of age. Despite conservative (non-surgical) treatment, an average of 4 million patients all over the world are treated surgically (discectomy and fusion) every year because their disease progresses (ie because the disc ruptures or herniates). After surgical treatment, 5-15% of the patient population is a candidate for second surgical intervention due to recurrence of adjacent segment disease and pseudoarthrosis (non-fusion).

The treatment of a sick organ is provided by returning the organ to its former healthy state. In other words, the treatment of a degenerated old disc is to restore it. In fact, we do not treat both initial or advanced hernia, we correct the patient’s clinical complaints by using both surgery and medication. The treatment is to return the sick disc to its former healthy state, and this can be achieved with biological therapy, not surgery.
