What is psychotherapy?

by clinic

Psychotherapy can be defined as the treatment of thinking and talking about one’s own problems in the shortest and most concise form. The word psychotherapy comes from Ancient Greek. It consists of the combination of the word “psyche” meaning soul, soul, breath and the word “there-pia” meaning healing and cure. Psychotherapy is used to treat a variety of psychological disorders and emotional difficulties. With this book, I aim to convey to you what is visible, not what is known, but what is left behind, the unnoticed, the spirit, the secret, and the emotion I feel by embodying the observations and experiences I have gained over the years about human beings. Psychotherapy, which I have experienced in my soul, is an opportunity to find out what we went through when we were little, what kind of psychological climate we grew up in, what kind of a psychological climate we grew up in, or to find out the situations that hinder our development, and to learn the permanent traces these situations leave on us.
