Why do we find it difficult to start something new?
1. Not knowing exactly what our motivation is or not being clear on what we want to achieve.
2. Not believing that what we are going to do is special, important, necessary. Not fully believing in ourselves.
3. Our goals are too high, we are afraid of disappointing ourselves.
4. Avoid disappointing people and getting criticism.
Things we can do:
1. Establishing realistic expectations. Starting with small steps.
2. Stop comparing ourselves to others.
3. Accepting that fear and worry are normal. Reminding ourselves that we don’t have to be perfect.
4. Seeing criticism from the environment or shame from failure as an option as well as good prospects. Being close to the people who support us.
