What is attention?

Attention is the power of concentrating mental abilities such as thinking, perceiving and comprehending only on certain stimuli, excluding other stimuli. Attention controls the distribution of mental energy within our brain. Attention; Gathering thoughts and feelings on a single point is defined as the state of alertness and is one of the most important elements of learning. Attention tries to achieve the result using the components listed below.

Attention is the mental effort to learn, understand, or grasp something. Attention is of particular importance for effective and permanent learning to take place. Insisting on working without focusing attention on a particular subject is nothing but a waste of time. This kind of working mentality is not efficient; It also causes a general feeling of reluctance, indifference, discontent and boredom to study in the student. Attention, besides the learning process of the student;

  • It also has an important role in problem solving and other cognitive areas.

There are a number of psychological, environmental and social variables that affect the attention process. Being aware of and controlling distractions is essential to success.

Attentioner Attention Program

The Concentrating on Attention with Attentioner Program was developed as a Neuropsychological based program at the University of Bremen, Germany.

In all sessions of this program, it is aimed to effectively improve and develop the following attention functions of the child with stimuli, passwords and activities from easy to difficult.

  • SELECTIVE ATTENTION; Being able to concentrate attention only on the desired stimulus among multiple stimuli.
  • DIVIDED ATTENTION; Ability to do multiple tasks at the same time.
  • FOCUSING; Ability to focus attention on a single task without being affected by internal and external stimuli.
  • TIMING; To be able to complete the activity that needs to be done within a certain time.

Attentioner is a 15-session structured program that can be applied individually or in groups of maximum 4 children, to children aged 7-18 who have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or are preparing for the exam and have attention problems.

What is Speed ​​Reading with Comprehension?

It is a technique based on the fact that various words are transmitted to the brain faster, allowing a text to be read, understood and perceived in a much shorter time, and that our eyes offer a much greater opportunity compared to our lip wiggling speed.

The purpose of the speed reading technique with understanding; It is to transmit various words to the brain faster and to ensure that the read text can be read, understood and perceived in a much shorter time.

Speed-reading; It aims to train the muscles of our eyes, to see agile in our eyes, to expand the field of vision, to give a more effective rhythm to our eyes while reading, and to achieve harmony between vision and perception.

The important thing is not to read fast, you can read at the speed of light if you want. It doesn’t make any sense. The main purpose of this training is to see faster and more effectively, as well as to perceive. In short, this program is a different technical skill that aims to increase our reading, perception and comprehension levels by improving our visual perception level.

With the attention exercises and speed reading carried out in our institution, attention and concentration increase greatly, and the reading speed increases 2-3 times. And also;
