Stress can be called as the psychological and physical pressure that arises in our daily life, sometimes by our self and sometimes by our environment. We can express it as a situation that occurs when a person cannot accept the situation by falling into a difficult situation as a result of the relationship between the person and the society and the complicated life of the individual and the inability to adapt between these factors or the pressure of the environment. In order to examine the effect of stress on us and to manage it, I will make a compilation based on the relevant sections of health psychology and a few articles.

It has been stated that people who follow this approach are more successful in coping with stress than the other approach.

Emotion-focused approach: This approach, on the other hand, can be considered as a strategy to cope with stress by changing the emotions and thoughts created by stress, not the underlying causes of stress. It has been stated that people with this approach adapt their lives better to life.

Physiological, behavioral and psychological three basic approaches to stress management in daily life are mentioned.

Physiological approach: This approach aims to reduce the physiological effect of relaxing the stress and nerve accumulated on the person in daily life through muscle. The person starts with breathing exercises and relaxes his body physiologically with activities such as yoga and meditation.

Biological approach: This method is a kind of behavioral therapy in which the person learns to regulate his autonomous activities by being aware of all his physiological reactions through training that he was not aware of before.

Time management techniques are the method that helps the person to keep his stress under control. It is expected that the person should prepare what he will do here in the form of a schedule and be organized effectively, he should set his priorities regularly and a list to make can give the person a sense of control and success while reducing his anxiety level. As well as improving self-esteem and may be appropriate in cognitive behavioral therapy to learn how to interpret daily life events.

People’s evaluation of a situation as positive or negative generally varies according to the way of individual perception. Autogenic learning is one of these techniques to be used. This method helps to overcome lack of concentration and disorder, difficulty in falling asleep, constant fatigue and inner restlessness, and helps to develop mental, physical and artistic abilities. It is a convenient way against all kinds of stress, in changing the blocking and compelling negative thoughts of life in a positive way, in coping with problems by increasing self-confidence beyond limiting events and experiences.
