Algology pain management

by clinic

It is one of the pain treatments applied in case of adhesion development in the postoperative area or in patients who suffer from long-term low back pain and receive physical therapy and other conservative treatments from time to time but do not respond to these treatments.

Epiduroscopy is performed in the operating room under local + sedation anesthesia. The process takes about 10 minutes. Through the cannulated fiberoptic catheter containing a thin camera system through the opening in the coccyx region, the spinal canal is entered into the spinal canal, and the adhesions in the healing tissue of the body, called granulation, in the lumbar region are opened by laser or mechanical movements and drug application can be made into the distance. The goal is to reduce or cut the pain of patients between 8 months and 1 year. During this period, the patient will be able to strengthen the back muscles with exercises, whose pain is relieved.

The procedure is started with a scopy called C-arm, that is x-ray, and after the intervention, the area to be treated is reached through the camera and the procedure is completed. A single suture is placed at the intervention site. The patient is discharged on the same day. After 1 week of rest, sutures are removed and normal life is restored.
