Anger becomes a problem only if it is not managed in a healthy way. Anger is an emotion like our other emotions, anger itself is not a problem, how to deal with it, anger control is important. There can be many different reasons for the expression of anger to be expressed with aggression. It may be a misconception to always think that it is only associated with a difficulty in anger management.
It can be very reinforcing for the individual to see that the event/situation realized according to the ABC model and the expression of anger with aggression in the behaviorist school works. Showing power, intimidation, dominance, and such acts of anger or resorting to violence are antisocial, but not uncommon. According to the results experienced in the behavior of the learned anger to be expressed with aggression, the rewards may be to digest the other party, to give the other party superiority and can act as a positive reinforcement. In order to increase the reward of intimidation and dominance, the behavior chosen in the expression of anger may be reinforced as a violent behavior and the frequency and/or intensity of violence may increase. ABCs compete at any moment, there may be reinforcements that we do not know about, the rewards of this behavior may be to digest the other party, the expression of anger by superiority, and the result may be that the individual feels good by discharging the anger with aggression.
In addition, when the feeling of anger results in an uncontrollable aggression and damage to the environment, very serious consequences can occur. Creating awareness of the consequences of action is extremely important when working with people.
