Obesity

by clinic

We meet our daily needs with the foods we take every day; If the amount and calorie of the food taken is more than our need, this excess part turns into fat. Obesity is defined as excess fat in the body and therefore more weight than expected. As the degree of obesity increases, it causes numerous problems for health and also makes it unhappy.

What needs to be done to get rid of obesity is simple: to reduce the amount and calorie intake of food and to increase the calorie expenditure. If we can achieve these, nothing else is needed. Anyone who says there is no miracle solution other than these is lying.

Reducing the amount of food taken is an easy goal to say but difficult to achieve. For this, many methods of restricting food intake have been developed. Many of these methods were later unsuccessful and forgotten (eg, gastric banding). The methods used today and giving good results are generally divided into two: Non-surgical methods and surgeries.

Non-surgical methods are preferred by people who are afraid of the risks of surgery or those who need pre-operative preparation due to excessive obesity. Intragastric balloons (gastric balloon) are increasingly preferred as a low-risk, reversible and effective method. Stomach botox is also a low-risk, but irreversible method with a low rate of results.
