İzmir Provincial Directorate of National Education continues its work in the field to provide “Psychosocial Support” after the great earthquake that shook Turkey.

Today, I would like to give some priority and useful advice that I can say “It’s worth it” if it can be good for the mental health of our people even a little bit, if it gives a sigh of relief even for once.

The psychological effects of the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake, which is accepted as one of the most destructive disasters of the century and caused many people to die and be injured in 10 provinces of our country, are especially evident on children.

Stating that it is very important to have uninterrupted and healthy access to medicine in natural disasters, Prof. Dr. Tayfun Uzbay stated that pharmacies, which are the most important links of the pharmaceutical supply chain, were seriously damaged in earthquake regions.

The earthquake, which was felt in provinces such as Kilis, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Malatya, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman and Hatay, the epicenter of which is the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş, caused almost destruction.

After two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake, the psychosocial support teams and volunteers of Kızılay continue their psychological first aid work for the citizens affected by the earthquake.

Search and rescue efforts continue on the 8th day of the Kahramanmaraş earthquake.

Keçiören Municipality has started psychosocial support activities for earthquake-affected children staying in the earthquake areas throughout Ankara and Keçiören Osmangazi Social Life Center Patient and Relatives Guest House, Keçiören Municipality Social Development Center (TOGEM) and Ali Özdemir Sports Hall Guesthouse.

In the divorce process, unavoidably, children are significantly affected. How the situation will be transferred to the child is a very important and critical situation.
