The stand, which was planned to open in 2019, was postponed due to the closure of museums and galleries within the framework of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. By 2022, its concept was completely changed and implemented. Elif Aydoğdu Ağatekin is the curator of Habip Aydoğdu’s stand, which can also be interpreted as a kind of coronavirus diary.

In the booth, documenting Habip Aydoğdu’s life, personality and working style through Özgür Aydoğdu’s eyes Serhat Özdemir also contributes to the stand with his images. Meeting with the people of Ankara 9 years later, Habip Aydoğdu’s works include large-scale works that art lovers cannot find in Ankara galleries.

Corona brought death close to the base of our nose. We had to retreat into our shells with horror. We left even the friends we lost alone on their last trips. Çakır continued his words, “Like every calamity, this disaster did not have any benefits. We started to remember again. We saw that the end of the road is not so far away as we thought. Time passes quickly. However, there is so much work to be done… The photos in this booth gave length in such a climate of feeling and idea… The restrictions and closures carried the exhibition from 2019 to 2022.
