Stating that the MR enteroclysis imaging technique has superiority over other examinations in the evaluation of CRONH, ulcerative colitis, whipple disease and in the imaging and evaluation of small intestine tumors, which are especially common in Turkey, Gümüştaş said, ‘It also provides the advantage of evaluating the colonic loops of the large intestine in detail. The most important feature of MR enteroclysis is that it does not contain radiation and is definitely an alternative to tomography. Apart from that, it has a very important and superior value in the evaluation of the mesentery, which are the advantages of MR, in the evaluation of lymph nodes and in the evaluation of solid organs such as the abdomen and liver. Today, despite its above-mentioned advantages, it is one of the least known and least desired examinations among MR imaging services. In the light of these evaluations, it should be used as a powerful alternative imaging, especially in the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases.
