This study examined the relationship between childhood trauma and eating disorders. Childhood trauma is explained as emotional or physical neglect, emotional or sexual abuse, violence experienced during childhood or young adulthood. Eating disorder is a diagnostic group in which eating behavior is severely impaired. Anorexia nervosa (AN) and Bulimia nervosa (BN) are the two most common and most important titles accompanied by serious physical problems as well as mental symptoms. Eating disorders are especially important because they are common especially in adolescents, can be fatal, and progress with severe disability (Herpetz-Dahlmann, 2009). It has been observed that eating disorders may be associated with traumatic events in the early period, and children who are exposed to neglect and abuse are prone to eating disorders. As a result of the examination, it was determined that the eating disorder and trauma were related to the types of neglect and abuse.
