Celiac disease can occur at any point in life from infancy to adulthood and is more common in women than men. Many symptoms can be seen that vary from person to person. For example, one person may have constipation, the second may have diarrhea, and the third may not have any problems with stool. People with celiac disease in general, abdominal pain, bloating, gas or indigestion, constipation, decreased appetite (which may also increase or not change), diarrhea, lactose intolerance, nausea and vomiting, abnormal stools, depression or anxiety, fatigue, growth retardation in children, hair loss, itchy skin (dermatitis herpetiformis), late menstrual periods, mouth ulcers, muscle cramps and joint pain, nosebleeds may experience any or all of many symptoms.
